Hi everyone - I'm sat here waiting for our doorbell to go - it never does!! Got some sweets in though 'just in case'. My three are getting ready to go out to one of the pubs in town dressed for Halloween - DS is a zombie, haven't seen the girls yet!

We have been very busy tonight - I have nearly run out of sweets !!!!!

I am sitting eating the nuts the kids dont like - I was just telling them when I was little it was all monkey nuts and if you were lucky you got a sweet :lmao:

Sorry, just got to rant. My DH took my eldest two (8 and 4) trick or treating down our street. 2 neighbour's kids went with them (same ages) and they were all dressed up. Most of the neighbours really got into the spirit of things - as our children are the only kids in the street - except one. She answered the door, took one look at the 4 little kids on her doorstep, rolled her eyes and shut the door in their faces. Can you believe that? She has grown up kids of her own too. :sad1:

That was rude. She could have been polite about it. People round here are encouraged to put a poster in their window if they don't want people knocking for trick or treat.

Bob - when you are next back on.......food photos are on the DLH thread for you. :rotfl:

I agree. Our neighbour is a vicar so we don't call there and DH avoids going to the elderly people's houses. The woman who shut the door has a son who went to school with my DH! One woman answered the door as a witch.:rotfl:

I love it when the adults get into it, my mother and father in law were dressed up and my 3 year old was petrified!!!:rotfl:

Just had a litle girl at the door singing Ba Ba Black Sheep - she was sooooooo sweet :lovestruc

OMG, how lovely!!

We live in a really quiet, kid free close in the middle of nowhere - so no trick or treaters for us ever.

Never mind. :(

We didn't have any tonight ... well, not till literally 5 minutes ago but I didn't bother to open the door as I'm already in my PJs and kids already in bed lol. I had some sweeties ready and my two wanted to wear their outfits just in case anyone came trick-or-treating (DD had her fairy wings & fairy skirt on and DS had DD's witch's hat & black skirt on ... ermm, yes lol) but no one came. So they had a couple of lollipops to eat lol. And as I've said, someone's just knocked on the door. Typical. I looked out and there were 3 kids & a grown-up all dressed up. We don't get that many around here, usually only 4-5 at most.

Wow, that's beautiful!! And look at all that lovely green lawn for you to do a spot of sunbathing when the weather's right! lol. How many flats are there in that building?

I know! I just couldn't believe it!!!! We said yes right then and there!!! It's so cute inside, has a kitchen I've always dreamed on. And thre were two little fluffy black cats sleeping on the bed in there, like a sign that bella will be happy!!!

Welcome back!!!!! Loooooove your DLH photos!! :D Cant wait for your TR. :)

It has 6 flats in it. I think ours is the smallest, but its wonderful, like being in a lovely little cottage, and we open right onto the massive lawn from our lviing room!!

Here's it on google maps!
