My son really isn't into parties and I'm not sure a 'get together' of family and friends would be to his liking either - I could be wrong though. I think he'd prefer just to go out for a nice meal somewhere that he hasn't been before.
Open house was great we just said from 4pm til 9ish (people were travelling and it was work for them all the next day) and people just came and went as they pleased, had a drink, food and some cake - everyone commented on how much nicer it was not being restricted to a particular time and more importantly everyone who was special to the girls was there.

I see what you mean..... I'm sure he'll suggest something he wants though!

It is lovely to not have something super restrictive for a party.... One of my friends had an 18th and it was beyond a joke- A couple of people did some VERY stupid things, someone went missing, loads of people gatecrashed... My friend had an ace time because everyone else dealt with it (Mainly her older stepbrothers who were on bouncer duty!).... I was one of the few sober people so I had to sit with the, erm, 'Happy' people (If you get what I mean by that!) and it was just a lot of work..... If she'd had it at home it would have been much nicer, but because it was in a pub everyone just showed up....

Was that your first ever DLRP stay???

Like I say, that was her original plan, but we couldn't make it work.... Robert and me have decided to just save for the Pink Palace for our Honeymoon! :cloud9:

I just checked the long range forecast for Paris for when we are there. Guess what? Rain!! Oh well, it looks like I might need to google the undercover walkways again before I go and remind my parents to pack their waterproofs!!

Aww that'll be lovely... I think it'll be nice to do something else for your 21st then... and it will make you even more excited for the honeymoon if you havent been in a while.

Awww! Where did you stay??

Thats what we thought too.... We figured we could save for the Pink Palace, then go, have a fantastic time, stay longer, eat in some FAB restaurants, do the Paris by night tour, etc......

I have a Helly Hensen fleece, waterproof coat thing, I think I'll be taking that!! I catually don't mind being there in the rain, as long as you have the right gear on it will be OK. Plus others might stay away!! And at least we haven't got far to walk back to our room from the parks!! lol I'm glad I sprayed my Uggs with the waterproof spray yesterday, I think I'll give it a 2nd coat though!

I love doing the Bateaux Mouche evening dinner when we are in Paris. Pete took me to do that for Valentines one year (we just went for the weekend, I thought we were going to London to see a show!)

I love SL too..... It's such a nice hotel!

Hopefully we'd stay a full week.... I don't think our budget would allow us much more....!!

Robert doesn't have a fancy for Buffalo Bills.... I think it looks good, but don't know if I'd like the food..... Shame really..... It looks fun!

I quite fancy going to the Moulin Rouge as we are both into theatre. We saw the Follies show at Vegas which was quite good.

I've never had a fancy for the Moulin Rouge personally..... I can see the appeal though...

I love theatre- Robert hates it though....

Pete and I do quite a bit of theatre stuff, he is there now taking a rehearsal. We are both in a theatre company, Pete is the musical director for this years panto!

Afternoon all. Just checking in to say it's my birthday! Can't stay long as we're bathing the kids.

How are you all?
