OT: Friday the 13th Happened to Me

I thought today would be pretty uneventful, even though the calendar shows
today as Friday the 13th. While I was listening to the radio this morning
on my drive to work, I thought that it would be interesting if anything bad
or strange happened.

And something did. It was not a big thing, but it was enough to think that
the coincidence of the date wasn't lost on me.

Our lunchroom has a change machine, dispensing change for $1 or $5 bills.
I didn't have any $1 bills, so I put a $5 bill in. I received:

$2.90 total in change.

Yes, I was not happy, and I'm blaming today's date!

I sincerely hope nobody has anything bad happen to them, but if it does,
please share your frustrations here and blame the day with me.

Now that would have been really strange..........lol !!

Leave a note with the vending machine company, they usually will resolve issues like that.

All I can say is that people were really driving me nuts today at work. More then usual.

let's just say our cat left a 'present' on my sister's bed this morning which made me late (had to clear it up), forgot i had H/W in today, somehow i got covered with ink by someone's pen whose lid was on it at the time, nearly broke a bowl

other then that i got 20/26 in my french speaking exam

I don't know if I believe in Friday the 13th, but my day is not going well so far. I found out my uncle died this morning. He was my Grandmother's only remaining child, and I truely fear what this will do to her. And to top it all off, my oldest son developed a stomach bug today.

I think it is about time you start believing in the whole Friday the 13th superstition! You must be extremely worn down from all that happening in one day!

My day started out crazy, but then seems to have leveled off to a normal crazy level!

When I woke up this morning, it seems I was quite groggy and didn't want to wake up, but knowing I had to get up and let the dogs out, I reached over to turn off the security system. Well, one should always be careful when turning off the security system while still in bed and groggy...it's very easy to hit the panic button accidentally!

So needless to say, I'm sure all of the neighbors had a nice wake up this morning too to the sound of the sirens blaring in the house!

I have never hit the panic button on accident...so I am blaming Friday the 13th for it!

Ok totally did not realize it was Friday the 13th until reading this, but now the day makes sense!

Went to Target today with my friend and neighbor. We shopped and while at the register her brand new Brighton wallet/purse she bought yesterday broke. Then after leaving the store, driving to the mall across the street and going back to Brighton, come to find out it is discontinued and they will have to ship her another wallet to her house in 3-4 weeks. She then gets back in the car, only to realize that while at Target the cashier forgot to give her the $20 cash back she had wanted, and paid for. She was so upset about the broken wallet, it had slipped her mind as well. So back to Target. She tells customer service what happens and they have to get security to get sombody to count the drawer to make sure it is over. They count it three times, then they have to call a general manager to give her back the money. She gets it back finally and we head home, only to get stuck in a traffic jam due to construction! All this and DH got off at noon today and I was supposed to be home by 1:00 to go to lunch with him. Well he was not happy when I did not make it make until 2:30!! GR-Friday the 13th- I believe!
