OT...filtering software

Hi all. I have a question somewhat related to budget issues.

I'm wondering what you all use for filtering software, if anything. my dh and I came across some questionable material and it seems to be related to a game site he signed up with to check out. Needless to say...he's un-installed the game, but I wouldn't want dd to click on something like that and be faced with something I ddon't want her to see. I am concerned, because I want to still be able to participate on message boards, and be able to take surveys an do paid clicks and such with rewards sites. I don't want to be having to insert a password to look at every new page I search for, like I do with the parental controls through windows...and I am willing to pay a monthly fee, if needed to subscribe to a service, but I don't know what services to look into. We have researched some, but I'd really like some recommendations.

google it,download it-it's free- if you download and keep the virus blocker thingy running- it works perfectly-(nothings perfect,but it works)
in fact the script blocker is so fierce,it blocks just about every 'script' from running without authorizing,so for most web sites,it's one extra step to 'unblock' if I choose it- well worth that one step to protect the computer and kids!
A friend who works in computers at a big office told me to use avast,she says they use nothing but this program to protect their systems.
The only drawback I've found so far is sometimes the computer boots up slower,due to all the 'protective' thingys that start up too....but worth the trade off........
oh-avast auto updates 2-3 times a week....

I use Bsafe (it's now called Bsecure) - the one Dave Ramsey recommends - it's AWESOME. Yea, I do occassionally have to put in a password, but then I can add that site to my allowed sites and never have to put a password in again.

Plus its 100% customizable to YOU.

It's a great program.
