I have been doing laundry for decades now and I don't use fabric softener. I see all of the ads and wonder what I am missing. Can somebody explain what it does. (I know this sounds stupid)
Years ago when polyester was very popular I used to put drier sheets in to remove static, but most of my clothes now are cotton (jeans and tshirts - I'm retired).
