I walked past M&S earlier and the exchange rate was 1.11!!!!! I've never seen it that low! :scared1: :scared1:

OMG:scared1: The next time it 'creeps' up to near 1.20 again, I'd better go change some Euros.

That is scary but the way the dollar has fallen in the past few months is very scary, it has lost over 50 cents per pound:scared1:

A week and a half ago I got mine for 1.22!

It does make our favourite place to go very expensive :confused3

Apart from traders in currency I would really like to know who benefits from all the fluctuations in currency exchange rates. Anyone running a business relying on imports and exports has such a hard time forecasting what overheads will be and for those of us who like to travel it is just a pain.
I think there must be a better way of doing things in relation to our different currencies.

It is a terrible rate this weekend. Let's hope it picks up again soon. :wizard:

Yep I'm hoping it picks up, I've got to pay the Taxe D'habitation on our French house before 15th December, as things stand at the moment, I'll be paying £80 more than last year because of the exchange rate :scared1:

Business exchange rate always tends to be higher, so it isn't so bad for them, not great mind you.

The worlds economy is bad at the moment, who would have thought selling on loans & mortgages a few years back would cause the problems we are seeing now.

It will be interesting to see how the markets react, if the countries that are meeting in the US can come up with a plan to stabilise the economy.

Im veri disapointed. Started gettin my euros 4 when i go dlp in 2 weeks. Paid £50.46 + got ?55. My brother paid £9.60 + got just over ?10. Hope it picks up!

I've been getting mine bit by bit, thank god I got them all before it crashed, the same can't be said for the OH though, he hasn't got any yet! He doesn't believe me when I tell him you have to buy as soon as you've go the money and the rates good. I told him the longer you leave it the worse it will get... if he was any more laid back he'd be horizontal! :headache:

So glad i booked HB now lol.

I will be getting mine the last week of Christmas.

Well to scare you even further the exchange in Disney village yesterday (Sat 15th) was "we buy at 96.6" and "we sell at 87.9" to the GBP - my eyes nearly fell out on stalks - so if you spot a good rate at home...grab it!
