OT- Email notification

I have a question. I have tried several times to set my email option so that I don't get email notifications about the threads in my email. I am getting an email everytime someone posts to a thread that I have posted on. How do I stop this? I have gone into the User CP, clicked on edit options and clicked on receive no email notifications and clicked save changes. I have done this about six times, but I still get tons of emails every day. How do I turn this off?

You need to change your options.

On the top Navy Blue bar click on User CP
Click on Edit Options (on the left side of the screen)

Under the Messaging & Notification category
change the Default Thread Subscription Mode to Do not Subscribe

Go down to the bottom of the screen and Save Changes.

I don't want to not subscribe. I use the cp to go back and read threads that I have posted on. I have clicked Receive no Email notifications which should do it, but its not.

Okay, I think I have this one figured out. Go to User CP. Then go to List Subscriptions. At the bottom of the page there is a pull down option that says Selected Threads:. Select No email notification. Click the box for each thread that you want no email notification. Then hit Go.

No, you won't. To change your default to what I think you want:
- go to User CP
- then, go to Edit Options
- then under the:

Default Thread Subscription Mode
When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.
Default Thread Subscription Mode:

... select No email notification from the pull-down menu

That way, you DO subscribe, but you do NOT automatically receive email notifications.
