OT: Dis'ers are so nice!

I have often seen people on the budget board asking for Ebay advice. Sometimes people say "Why don't you ask on the Ebay site for help?", and they respond that people are much nicer here. Well, I just had an experience over on the Ebay site asking a simple question, and boy were the people over there MEAN to me! Next time, I'm coming here, as the people respond with kindness.

I've said the same thing-I visited another website with posting boards and was disgusted with how poorly people treated each other! I love the DisBoards as people are generally much kinder and also provide valuable information!!

People here are really nice!

My favorite, personal, magical DIS moment: When I had just recently started posting here, I mentioned in a thread about BK kids' toys that DS9 was disappointed that he hadn't gotten an ewok before our local BK ran out. I received a PM from a DISer who said she had an extra ewok and would happily send it to my son! I of course gladly accepted her offer. It was such a sweet, kind thing to do for a stranger! DS was thrilled to get his ewok, and impressed that somebody on the DIS would send it to him, without even knowing him.

And all the help I've received here on the DIS has been fantastic: Advice on accomodations, directions, itinerary planning for my special-needs son, etc. All this great advice and help has made a huge difference in my Disney trips -- including this summer's trip to DLRP!

I'm a regular poster on another web message board (on a totally unrelated subject), and things get pretty intense and often mean there. So, whenever I need a heavy dose of nice, I just head over here for some pixie dust.

It is true- this is the nicest board- and as an added bonus- there are some really smart people on here- you do get great advice- from nice people- and you never have to wait more than 2 minutes for an answer to just about any question!
