We REALLY need a new Christmas tree this year. I just can't find anything that does't look cheap (you know the ones where you can see the metal bar through the branches). Does anyone have a tree that they love! If so, where did you buy it. Must be able to purchase it in Canada.

Thanks so much for your help! Hope you all have a great Christmas!!!!

I bought mine 10 years ago from the Bay for $300. It's a great tree with full branches and looks very, very real.
Not sure what you are willing to spend but I'd say that in order to get a half decent tree, you would be looking at a minimum of $150.
Sears has good trees, they usually have sales every weekend.

We bought our from Costco 2 years ago (I can't remember the price, but I don't think I would've spent more than $300 for it). I wanted something that was realistic looking, and didn't have lights attached already (I think these have a faker look to them). We have gotten comments on it about it looking realistic.

I have many friends that have bought their tree at Costco and they have all been pleased. We plan to get our next artificial tree from there as well.

Another vote for Costco! I bought a tree there several years ago. It was $99. It is a huge, very full tree! I love it. I have never seen an artificial tree look so good for such little money!

I was at Costco today, they have some pretty good looking trees both with and without lights.

I bought mine from Canadian Tire a couple of years ago - we bought it about 2 weeks before Christmas for 1/2 price. It is pre-lit and I think it cost about $150.00 at the time (with the discount). So it would have been around $300.00.....

We have a high ceiling (24 feet) and this tree is like 8 foot high. So nice and real looking.

Merry Christmas:santa:

We have a 7.5 foot blue spruce tree from Canadian Tire, that is not pre-lit! I love it! It is very full, don't see the wires at all, and they are very fine "needles" on it, it looks real! People come in my house all the time and always touch the tree, to see if it is real or not! We also hang a pine scented air freshner in the tree! When we take the tree down, we have to hunt for the air freshner because the tree is so full! We paid $150 for it after Christmas about 3 years ago!

I just spoke with my hubby tonight and he said that we spent $150 for our tree from Costco. Its a 7' high tree, and it looks huge in our small little house, but it is real pretty!

Another vote for Costco. We bought ours 6 yrs ago for maybe $79 and it is still looks fabulous!
The trick to helping your artificial tree look it's best is fluffing up the branches. You need to spread them and twist them and really take your time on each branch. It really makes the world of difference. I usually spend about an hr fluffing our tree.

Thats the part of the artificial tree that we hate the most....I usually find something else to do while that needs to be done :rolleyes1

We got our last one at Costco three years ago and it is gorgeous. That could be because I have about 100 Disney ornaments on it. It is not pre lit since I was worried about burnt lights.

Yeah my DH seemed to be quite busy this year while I was fluffing the tree.

we just bought one about a week ago at home depot cost was 150 and I think it has about 1300 or 1400 tips on it so it is very full . I shopped around quite a bit before buying this tree .,really was the nicest I could find even checking out sears and the bay Its a 7 1/2 foot tree. :goodvibes

We bought ours from the Shopping Channel - I had a $20 off card and they had free shipping. For $200, we got a pre lit 7ft tree that assembles in "4minutes" (more like 6 but who's counting). Lovely rounded tip branches, we were not disappointed.:santa: GL

Fuuny you should mention! We just ordered a tree from Costco a couple hours ago. We thought we would give a prelit a try. I'll post pics if we get it in the next couple days.

we finally got one last year. Mine has preformed needles (not the traditional "paper" needles) and is prelit. It comes in 7 pieces the are on hinges (?) so there is no need to fluff. I have had people feel the tree because they thought I was fibbing about it being fake *lol* I bought it at a place called art Knapps. It is
B-E-A_u_t_i_f-U-L . I did pay almost $1000.00 for it though:rolleyes1:eek:. Hubby was not impressed with me!. but if it lasts us 10 years it will Have cost the same as what we would spend on a fake one.
