OT- dealing with warts

The duct tape really works. Cover the plantar wart with Compound W or generic. Apply a very small piece of duct tape that just covers the wart. Every morning and every night peal off the duct tape. It does not hurt! Apply more wart medicine.

The skin will die. It will move down layer by layer by layer and then one day you will peal up the duct tape and BINGO the wart will be on the duct tape! The skin under the duct tape gets wet and nasty. (Not smelly, just wet.) As soon as you let the area dry out, you are back to square one, so be ready to keep it up.

I had about 10 on one foot at one time. I had twilight sleep and had them carved out. OMG the recovery was VERY painful. Now I keep a close look at my feet.

Some folks are just prone to them. Just like some of us get sinus infections, or some of us have allergies...

Duck Tape!! Seriously, just put in on, keep the duck tape on until it comes off (about a week or so), put on new duck tape if it's not gone yet. Miracle, no pain, quick cure!

I had a very large plantar wart on my heal that had a callus over it. Compound W didn't work. I asked the pharmacist for recommendations and he gave me some salicylic acid pads which he kept behind the counter that I could buy without a prescription. They were relatively inexpensive.

I would cut a pad to the size of the wart, stick it on, and leave it there for 2 days. Then I took it off and used a Dr. Scholl's foot file to scrape off a layer of dead skin. It sounds painful, but it didn't hurt.

I had to repeat this process many times, but the wart finally went away and never came back. This was 5 or 6 years ago.

My DS10's Dr told us to use duct tape for the warts he has. I had never heard of it before. Haven't gotten the chance to do it yet but I'm hoping it works as well for him as it has for others.

so glad to find this thread!!! My son currently has 2 on his hands. We have frozen them about 4 or 5 times at home and went to the doctor to have them frozen. The warts are still there. I am going to try the duct tape in the morning.

If they are resistant the duct tape may not work. Thats what happened with my son. Garlic and Tagament was what finally worked for us.
*slice fresh garlic tape (we used bandaids) to wart over night next morning remove dried garlic wash hands repeat every night till gone.

Do not allow child to bite warts they will spread to mouth area!!!!!!!!!!!!

When my DS was 5yo he had quite a few warts on his hands. I took him to my dermatologist and she used lasers on the warts. They all shrunk down and disappeared with no scarring. That was 20 years ago. To those who have warts on hands should look into laser treatment.

I had a planters wart a few years ago. It was so annoying. I ended up having my podiatrist "cut" it out!

Two things, regular aspirin and band aids. Depending on how long you leave them on, the wart will be gone in 2 to 7 days. Take an aspirin, slightly crush it, dampen the wart, put aspirin on it, dampen the aspirin, cover with the band-aid, preferably a waterproof one. Change and check it twice a day. It will turn wrinkly and whitish, as if being in the water too long. You will know when it's ready, then kind of like popping a pimple, push on both sides of it and it will just pop out, roots and all. There will be a small hole, (no blood or anything) don't be alarmed the wart was killing the healthy flesh and it will heal up quickly. I guarantee it works, my dad did it to me as a kid and I have used this method on two of my own. Good luck!!
