Unfortunately Peggie is back at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport, CT as of this noon. Her red count is below 1 (.6 actually) and I believe she told me the norm is between 4.8 -10. You nurses would know far more than I about the blood levels. So, if you have an extra moment, and some extra pixie dust just taking up space, please send some her way. How ironic that a week after she has her chemo treatments, these problems seem to creep up. Thanks. Caroline
The good news is that Peggie is heading home today - the red count is up and her temp has been normal for over 24 hours now. The sad news is that while Peggie is heading home, her friend Ritchie, her wonderful caregiver, is now in the hospital. It appears that after an echocardiogram, the pain he experienced this week was after suffering 4 heart attacks - yes, i said 4 heart attacks this week. So, if you could please keep both of them in your prayers, that would be wonderful. Thanks. Caroline
