I tend to stay away from those type of films to be honest. I prefer comedies (Dude Where's My Car, Dumb and Dumber being two of my fav's) or action films...oh and animated films too obviously.

I'm generally ok watching the films...it's afterwards that I convince myself something is there when it obviously isn't
Me too!!! I woke up once and my desk chair was in the middle of my bedroom, with my dressing gown draped over it - and it looked like an evil dwarf!!!

I had to get up, run over and kick it before I realised what it was!!

I'm awful if I have to stay the night on my own!

Also, I much prefer comedies too! There's never a bad time to watch anchorman!

I like horror films (especially older ones....!).... My friend and me think 'The Shining' is the funniest thing we've ever seen! We were ready for a proper horror, and we had tears streaming down our faces from laughing so hard!

My aunt (the one who likes Horror films) makes my uncle watch them with her, then she goes to bed and makes him go outside to lock the coal shed.... Poor guy goes out armed with the dog under one arm...!! :lmao: After they'd watched 'The Grudge' at ours, they went home, went to bed, and she waited until she knew he was just drifting off to sleep and then she made the clicking throaty sound and he absolutely screamed the house down and wouldn't put the light off..... :lmao: :lmao:

Lol, me too in retrospect, but at the time....

I suppose I mean more of a troll, but definitely something scary!!

I had the fright of my life this morning!

I woke up after hearing a thudding sound and spotted something at the end of the bed, moving slowly...just as I was about to hit it I realised it was Kacee!!

Ellie had gone to work at 5am and popped in to give him a kiss, and left the side of the cot down so he had woken up and come in to get into bed with me!

I know, at the time it's terrifying...! I've seen and done things in the past that were so terrifying it was unreal, but now I laugh my head off!

Robert's room in Barnsley is an attic room, with lots of funny little pannelled storage rooms in it.... Since he's moved out, his Mum has put a rail up there with her clothes on it. One night, we were asleep, but there was this huge bang, and when I sat up, all I could see (Bear in mind I wasn't wearing my glasses) was a white shape blowing into the room. I was terrified (Its an old house and they think there's a ghost in the attic anyway)..... I woke Robert up and he burst out laughing... He passed me my glasses and put the light on... One of the wood pannells had blown off in the wind and the draft was blowing a white linen skirt around....!! :lmao:

Another one of my fave stories in a similar style was when Robert's Dad (Jonathan) was younger, he and his brother shared an attic bedroom. One night, his brother woke him up, pointing at something. He didn't say a word, and looked terrified.... Jonathan looked and there was a white shape floating around the room. Literally around the room.... They were both terrified, and pulled the blankets up over their heads. After an hour or so, they looked out, and it was gone. The next morning, they were telling the tale of the ghost in the attic, when Jonathan's sister Phil walked in wearing a white nightdress and said: "Really? Well I was in the attic and I didn't see anything!"....!!! :lmao: It was her all along! Because she's got dark hair, it just looked like a white shape floating around the room, and she'd snuck into the attic to get her book back!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Good afternoon!! Am back from my shopping trip and it was a pretty successful one too. I had to get a few bits for my younger nephew and one of Adam's little friends and something else for Louise. So I went to TK Maxx first, and then Toys R Us... and I got everything which I set out to get. I love trips like that lol. Then, a friend of mine sent me a text to ask where I was and asked her if she fancied meeting for lunch at Ikea. So we had lunch there. Yummy! I always end up having their meatballs and chips. Boring but I love it.

GAK! I think I must have picked the worst essay title possible! I've said everything I want to say and I still have 1,400 words left to write! :headache:

I've had to resort to talking about the scary artist lady I don't like....

The first time he didn't really like it that much and cried after the big drop right until we got out of the boat...as it's my fav ride I kinda made him do it again the next day and he loved it...we went on it on the Sunday after all the travelling etc and think he was just tired.

Honestly though...who out of us is actually 'normal'?? I have a fear of cotton wool and sock puppets so that's not particually sane is it

Hmm I was gonna take the kids on POTC this time round but not too sure about taking Adam on it now. How big is the drop? We took him on the 'flumes' ride in Chessington (mind you, that one does have a pretty huge huge drop at the end) and he screamed just before the boat took a dip and didn't stop crying till we got off (which thankfully wasn't too long after that drop).

One of the drops is quite big, so he might not like it. You could always try him on it though, and see.... There's quite a lot of other stuff happening so he might not be focussing purely on the drop?
