Last year we ended up with the tree kindly decorated by Lottie with farm animals all on the bottom so that they could talk to each other! This year she has her own little tree in her room to decorate and organise as she likes!

Robert's mother has done it again- I asked for some long sleeved, long legged, brown, cosy pyjamas for Christmas. She's bought me strappy pink Hello Kitty PJs. Now, I'm not being ungrateful, but she knows I don't like Hello Kitty in the slightest, and that I hate strappy tops and don't wear them..... Why does she just set out to annoy me?!!?!?

It's great looking at everyone's trees and decorations. They're all lovely!!

How long has he been in the post? I know there seems to be a backlog at the moment with the extra Christmas post.

I'm feeling really rough. I've had toothache all weekend and this morning my left cheek is all puffy so I feel like a hamster! I managed to get my dentist to squeeze me in this morning and he's confirmed I have an absess. I'm now on antibiotics and have to go back on Thursday to see if the infection has gone down enough for him to proceed with treatment really not looking forward to that but just want an end to the pain I'm in.

Oh no, hope the antibiotics will do the trick and relieve the pain a bit for you as well.

Arghhh.. why don't they just listen to what you want??? I've had the same thing today with SIL. A few weeks ago, I told her what to get for my kids (makes it easier really and she tells me what to get for hers kinda thing) - just toys from Argos. Easy peasy, end of story. Today, she emails me to tell me that SHE didn't like the toy from Argos, so she bought Adam something else instead - a garage from Tesco. Now, a garage would be nice as well but that's not the point, is it? I asked her whether it's possible to return the garage and get the firestation toy from Argos instead as it's smaller and it's portable whereas the garage is huge and would take up lots of space (and believe it or not, we're running out of space!).

She knows I can't stand Hello Kitty! Robert loves it, but she knows I hate her! The whole 'she has no mouth because she speaks with her heart' makes me sick! (Sorry, I have zero zolerence for the kitty!)

Robert told me, I think he knew I wouldn't like them. I've persuaded him to text her and try and get her to take them back, but he's being seriously stroppy about it. I can understand to a point, but I think it's just wasting her money. Plus which, it also seems stupid to accept them because then she'll be buying me Hello Kitty stuff for the rest of my life.... And pastel pink things (Gross) and horrible strappy tops! And it will have all stemmed from: "But you liked those Hello Kitty PJs I got you!"

I'm trying to chuckle, but I know what she's like! That would be it forever more!!

Its because she thinks she can change me into someone else that she likes more.... And because his brother's ex didn't challenge her taste in things she isn't used to having someone who will say: "No, that isn't nice at all.".... She has got the worst taste in furnishings, clothes, everything ever.... I don't think I have great taste, but this woman is unreal! She thinks tacky ceramic cake stands are the height of sophistication.... Fair enough for herself, but not for us! I would tell you about the ornament she bought us, but then I'd be ranting forever!

How rude to say she didn't like the toy! It isn't a present for her!!! Maybe she just wants a toy garage really??

This is what i would do, wear them so she can see you wearing them, change into more comfy pjs when you get into bed then change back into the other ones in the morning.

It could work, but the problem is she will then think I like them. Then all she will ever buy me is Hello Kitty things, Strappy Tops, and Pastel Pink things....

Good morning! Ahh my first child-free day in a long time. Ok, I know it's only been over a week but that's a long time for me lol. I'm off to a few shops soon (TK Maxx, Toys R Us and Matalan) to look for a few more pressies. TK Maxx is usually pretty good for kids PC games - knowing my luck, they're all sold out now.
