OT - Chat Chat Away

I wouldn't do disney alone though, or certain bits of LA, but Santa Monica would be fine alone.

I did DL alone a few months ago and it was a wonderful experience. I'm used to doing DLRP with DB in tow so the day can go quite slow sometimes depending on his mood, so it was nice to do things exactly how I wanted, when I wanted.

I stayed in one of the offsite hotels which were literally over the road and it was extremely easy - I flew into Santa Ana airport, got the Disney shuttle straight to my hotel, walked across the street to the parks in the day, back again at night, then got the direct shuttle from my hotel back to the airport at the end of the trip.

I'm a nervous traveller and found it a very easy experience as I pre-booked everything in the UK so didn't have much to worry about other than jsut enjoying myself

First did "my" plane compani bankrup,
then my grandmom died
and today I got pneumonia

But I get 150 euro in Birthday present from my parents yesterday, so now I have 550 euro til 4 days.. Hope thats enof

Sorry to hear you aren't well Christina, hopefully you are feeling much better for your Disney trip.

€550 for four days should be more than enough, especially just for yourself. You'll have a great time!

Looks like i'll be walking again today! Darn ice!! It hasn't melted on our road or driveway at all.

Morning !!! I really hope this freezing spell will end soon. I can't remember any cold spell lasting this long?! It's usually very cold for a few days, then there's a break, then it gets cold again... but this has been going since we got back from DLRP.. and that was before Christmas! It snowed lightly overnight here and it's the worst kind as it's not thick and will no doubt ice-up again very quickly. Was going to take Adam to softplay after dropping Louise at school but don't think I will now. Don't fancy driving.

LOL! I woke up at about 3am and couldn't get back to sleep so thought I'd grab my iPhone and see what was/wasn't happening on here!

There is no remnants of any snow/ice around my house however at my Mum and Dad's (less than 3 miles) there is still 3-4" or real snow

Walked in again today, our road is SO icy, still 2/3" of snow on the grass either side though, so walking isnt too treacherous, once you get to normal pavement it's a nightmare though! Have to go so slowly.

I'm going to have to cancel my piano lesson as I still can't get my car out of the drive.

I am not in the mood for work at all today.

I now have the rest of the week off work as I have leave booked . I'm meant to be the physio at football on Saturday but I think the pitches will still be frozen, so the games will be called off if they are.
