OT - Charlotte Jobs

Not sure if anyone can help me out here but we are considering moving to Charlotte NC in a few months and I was wondering about the job situation down there. My husband is a Carpenter and just starting working as one a few months ago and I am worried that he will not be able to find work in Charlotte. I am a bartender/student/mommy so I am sure that I will be fine but I am really worried about him finding a job. Are there any people from Charlotte out there who can help ease my worry??

I can't help you with specific jobs in Charlotte, (maybe central WI or the Twin Cities area!) but it seems to me that carpenters are doing OK right now. My Dh is a carpenter as well and new home sales are up way over existing home sales here. I also heard that Florida has lifted all restrictions on carpenters due to all the rebuilding taking place. (In case he'd have trouble getting a job and would be willing to travel.) Keep in mind that not many people want to build their own house/garage/shed/etc, he'll find work!
