[What are we doing?]

I am in NY and have been logged on since noon and have yet to get a query.Is this normal? Anyone else in my area having this problem?

Check your catagories & interests as mine were wiped out. Maybe that is why we aren't getting any questions?

Aaaak!!! I spent hours putting keywords in!!!!!!!!!!! They are ALL gone!

Then again, I'm guessing it isn't going to matter soon.

This is insulting. Especially since I have never been in a situation where I had to read such ugly, abusive language and nasty, perverted questions - and then reply in an upbeat, accurate, correctly-spelled reply. They owe us $.20 per message just for our patience!

I agree 100%. I was contemplating quitting, just because I was worried about answering those types of questions. I don't want to be responsible for "corrupting a minor," you know? Seriously! This just puts the nail in the coffin.

The contract said that you could be fired for what you wrote in the forums. There's no surprise there.

I say, find me & fire me.

If they really wanted to find you, it would be real easy, no matter what your screenname is, they'd just have to check the IP address of the computer you're using.

I don't think ChaCha thought through the vast number of people that were going to get wind of this- you know I tell two people, they tell two people...

Sorry, but this was a very bad business move. They could have quietly let people go and not punished the decent guides .

It seems like this could have been their plan all along, actually.. through word of mouth and $.20/question they get all the help they need. Then, they bring the pay down to what they actually wanted to pay.. yeah, it will make some (or lots) of people mad, but there will still be PLENTY of people who will work for nothing. It probably would have been harder to get this many people to sign up for only $.10/question.

I cannot believe they deleted my keywords and interests, after I spent HOURS putting them all in! I'm not so sure I want to keep doing this and I just got started as a guide yesterday! This is all very disappointing.

In all fairness, they did have in the blog that they were going to be deleting all the keywords this week. They needed to for the new system.

And in one of the messages, there is a link to a petition demanding ChaCha raise the pay back up. . .it already has 182 signatures. I wonder how many guides will sign it?

Hi everyone - pardon my first post but I have a question regarding this. I've read through 10 pages of this thread so far. I signed up (or submitted an application) on Sunday night, and still haven't received the first set of tests or anything via email. Is this unusual, or did it take some of you more than 24 hours to receive your initial tests? I'm anxious!

ok, i did notice my categories & interests were gone, so i just spent over an hour putting them back in. i got an e-mail about this and it said be specific and use whole names....uh....yeah, i enter a whole name and it won't enter. i had to use "miley" for miley cyrus and "jonas" for the jonas brothers to get the system to accept it. same for brad & angelina, jennifer aniston, etc. and under explicit, when it said to enter body parts, if you do that, the system doesn't accept them. did anyone else notice this?

A friend who is trying to get in (and yes, I told her about the 10 cent controversy!) tried to submit her test and got the 500 server error...and when she went in to go back it said her acct was disabled? Anyone have this problem??

Ok, just got my first two questions pretty quickly, but now there is nothing again. Not sure how long I can sit and wait; my morning sickness unfortunately is never limited to morning only, and has decided to visit me full force this evening. Bleh!
