OT: ChaCha

They changed the rule on using the chacha.com page. If it's a conversational or crank question you have to link to a different site -- something that relates to their comment. For example, if you just get "thank you," you should find a site that defines thank you or gives the history of it, or maybe even a site that has it in different languages.

The only time you should link to chacha.com is when they're asking specifically about ChaCha.

oops...OK thanks! Guess I missed that.

You do have to give them your SSN... Your pay has to be reported to the Internal Revenue Service somehow!

As for me, I was accepted and started 'working' after work on Thursday night for about 2 hours, made $10... Don't have enough time to make some serious additional cash... Wish I could though... If I could have had just a few hours over the weekend... Ugh...

My dgf thinks I am crazy... lol

I took the simulation test on Saturday around noon and still have not heard anything. Should I assume I did not pass? I answered 15 questioned when I should have answered only 10 so not sure if that a reason.

Did it take awhile for anyone else to get an accepted email? Seems like everyone on here got one pretty quickly.

Thanks!

You'll hear something either way so I would not sweat it...

No, I wouldn't assume you failed. Log in and see what your status is. They may have been busy with the Indy 500 this weekend and are behind on replies.

I was downloading firefox and the toolbar when a registration link popped up...I took the fitness test and I know I got 100 percent but it stopped and suspended my account and said nothing is available right now?? has anyone heard of this?

But think about it, $10/day is $300/month! That's my goal, so if I can do that in 2 hours per day, that's enough for me!!

I read a post on this thread about using the space bar instead of the mouse but I can't find it now.

What was that all about? Thanks!

I am not having any luck with the questions when someone asks about a "regular" person. For example: Tell me about Jane Doe in Milwaukee, WI. I have tried using Pipl.com and Spock.com but sometimes I just don't get ANYTHING. Anyone else have any other suggestions??
Some days, I'd rather have a million Chuck Norris or Where do Babies Come From questions over these!!!!

I usually try whitepages.com or 411.com or even myspace (if I think it's a teenager) and I usually have luck finding people. Or ask for more info such as state or high school or college.

I never really thought about whitepages. I always assume these are teenagers for some reason! Pipl.com will list Facebook and Myspace so have that covered. Thanks for the 411 :)

When a message pops up for you to accept you can hit the enter key or space bar to accept it.

Can someone tell me how to become a ChaCha guide???? I went to chacha.com but there is an error. It states there is a problem with the websites security????
thanks

I'm posting here because maybe someone has an answer for me.

I got my first QC letter because I couldn't find and answer the asked for more information?:confused3

If you hit the clarify button too many times, I understand that you will not remain an employee. I have never hit clarify. So, we give a half answer or just "some" link related to the question instead of being honest?

The question was- when WAS the last ER show final episode, and what station?

I'm aggravated- the last ER show has NOT been shown yet, the new season starts this September for the last season run for the show ???

My reply was that I was having no luck, could you please send more information so ChaCha could answer that question. I spent adequate time on this search and felt that I did my best.

I have seen a million times, in the forums, that people reply to please send more information and that they were not having any luck or that the information did not appear to be available at this time. I've done a ton of follow-ups when other guides asked for more information? :sad2:

I don't want to ask on their forums because it's like everyone is out to get each other with all the how do I report a guide stuff. I worry about my work and don't try to police other's work- that's what QC is for, YKWIM?

I learned my lesson, I will just give the best answer I can and not be honest if I really can't locate the exact answer.

I've been busy and answered over 1900 queries so far and am rethinking this, maybe you stick out if you are working hard and draw attention? Of course, the more that you answer the more chance that you will make a mistake at times too. I guess one QC out of over 1900 questons isn't too bad, except I don't want any! :scared:

AARRRGGGHHHH! Vent over.

I have gotten similar questions - where the IS was just wrong with a fact, and therefore you can't find anything to match it. I would've told him the info. you found, sent a link to the show's site, and that would be it (well, that's what kind of stuff I've done before!) :goodvibes
