the $5 fee is to transfer money from the debit card into your bank account. other than that all it is is the $2 fee for pay me now. but from what i have read in their forums you will have the money in something like 10 mins. that, to me, is worth the $2.

i started last thursday and currently have $111 in my account. I am loving this!

Yay, I passed! :cool1:

Which did you guys choose for this question about the form:

DISREGARD, I figured it out! LOL Now I have to do the simulator....

oh, ok, thanks! the way i read PP's post, there might be a $5.00 charge for your account being inactive for a length of time?

The $2 charge is for each time you take your money from ChaCha to the debit card, they get a dollar and the bank gets a dollar. The $5 is if your account is inactive, but I have not read yet as to how long. I will look into it, I have gotten deposit slips and enveloped for the bank, but no debit card as of yet. And I do not think I will be sending them any additional money to put on the debit card, but I did keep the deposit slips just in case.

Hey thanks, but I wasn't talking about questions from the test.

What I meant is what I posted earlier about how the Simulator test can be kind of confusing. It can start before you actually realize you are "in" the simulation. That's all.

I love ChaCha and don't want to do anything to mess that up.

I apologize, I thought you meant the test questions. And you are right, the Simulator test questions pop up and it seems like you are answering real questions. I know it panicked me for a minute! I love that I can work while my kids are close by and not worry that I am on a phone and they have to be quiet. And I am learning a lot, and about some topics I never would have thought of!:surfweb: Back to ChaCha I go!

Thanks for explaining! It all should be spelled out for us by ChaCha but it seems there is so much information missing in the Knowledgebase.

from the forums...

Can I transfer money to my own bank account?
Yes you can do this, but it will cost you $5. After logging on to the bank's site you can click on Transfers and you will see what to do from there.

With your FirstIB card you can do ANYTHING that you can do with a Visa check card from any other bank, EXCEPT for pay at the pump at a gas station (this was currently disabled for ALL FirstIB accounts, not just ChaCha accounts). It is not a prepaid debit card.

I've been happy with ChaCha as well. I'm Carmelatte on the boards. I've been doing it for about a week and have made about $38! That's one weekend and a couple of hours over the last week. Not quite meeting my goal yet, but I'm hoping I do soon.

I really like the ChaCha boards there. There's tons of great info and if you're brand new, or waiting to hear back, I would DEFINITELY recommend checking out the forum there to get your questions answered about ANYTHING.

Why? Because there are actual employees and the SuperMods there have been there forever and can answer pretty much any question you might have. I was hoping for them to add on a PayPal option, but it looks like that would be a no-go.

Right now I've opted for the card, but I hope to soon move over to the once a month payment. I don't want to leave my money on the card because it's not earning any interest there. So it does nothing more for me other than hold my money. Might as well be an envelope.

See you on ChaCha!

Did I see somewhere that there was a limit on the number of questions you could answer? I thought someone on here said something about 15 but I don't know if they were talking about the simulator test or not. I haven't been able to find anything on chacha about limits. Can you do as many as you want in a day?

You can sit on your bum as long as you like and answer questions. I find that I get burnt out after a couple of hours though. The number 15 comes from the Simulator test. You do 15 queries and then stop. Then you impatiently wait to hear whether or not you made the cut.

ChaCha has been hoppin' today!

I hit my $5/day goal in less than an hour and I've added a couple more dollars to boot. Much nicer pace than last week when I was going nearly an hour at a time with no questions. :thumbsup2

Even though I set my goal at $35 a week (or $5/day), I'm at over $78 in less than a week. I love seeing my Disney vacay money adding up!

I just got the confirmation that I am accepted after the Sim test. Just wondering if there is a way find out how one did on the sim test? I see five of my questions with a smiley face, is that all I will ever know.

Also, this may be posted and I missed it, if so, sorry, can I start answering queries and decide later how to get paid?

Thanks for all the info on here, it really has helped me.

weird, i thought it was pretty slow. at one point i sat for over 10 minutes and didn't get a single question. i have made $10.20 so far today, though. i think i do this too much, lol, i've made $72.20 since friday afternoon! it feels like i have a full-time job!

Will someone lay out the pros and cons of Direct Deposit vs. Debit Card. I had originally picked Debit Card, but have not yet set it up and am thinking about changing.

Also, while you are logged on and waiting on questions, can you open Explorer and surf disboards? What do you do while waiting? It seems like one time I tried this and it messed up!

I just decided on the direct deposit option. I had to fax in a copy of a voided check and now I am waiting for my account information to be verified. I didn't want to pay the $2 fee each time I wanted to be paid on the debit card. That's 10 questions and sometimes during the week that's all I get in a day.

It's a great job! I log in whenever I have some spare time. I do open another browser and check my e-mail and post on the DISboards if it's really slow.

Is anyone else having trouble finding the "pay me now" button? Mine was there until I registered to get the debit card and now it has disappeared. I haven't received the debit card yet and wondered if the reason the button was missing has something to do with setting up the debit card account.

Darn it...I was just taking the Sim test and got knocked off about 5 times in a row! I got through 3 questions just fine, and can't complete another one at all! UGH! I just emailed them and explained what is happening. It's not my internet connection, that's for sure. I hope they let me retake!!! :worried:

Even with all of the porblems I had taking my test, I passed and am now an official guide! YAHOO!! I can't wait to get started. I still need to decide which payment method I want, but I am not worried about that yet until I actually make some money! :)

Open Disboards right in firefox...this way if a question pops up, no matter what you are doing, it automatically jumps to the ChaCha tab. Then you won't miss them. I'm actually using firefox for everything now. LOL Don't want to miss the questions...or not get to them fast enough. I hate when they say someone else got to it first! THAT'S MY $0.20!!:rotfl:
