I've been a guide for a little over 2 weeks, and I love it! It's so much fun! I got an email today from ChaCha saying that I have won a $50.00 bonus for 100% accuracy in 307 searches for last week! I am so excited! Yay ChaCha!

WOW. That is great. So nice to be rewarded for good work. I have had a few really difficult questions that I haven't been able to find. How do you do it in the short time frame allowed?

I just finished the test. How soon before I know if I am chosen? Under my searches, in my profile page, it lists how many query's I have answered and they have a happy face next to it. Does that mean anything?

To tell you the truth, I can't believe that I had 100% accuracy last week! Last night I has a tough question that took me almost 9 minutes to answer, which was my longest time. I was so stressed!

I have a regular part time job, and I've never gotten a bonus! I was happily surprised when I got the email!

I hope to make enough money with ChaCha for my Disney trip in May 2009!

I actually only did 13 questions on the simulator Tuesday night before bed. Did another 3 before work yesterday, and by the time I got home at 5:30 I was accepted as a guide! Did some queries on and off last night, and a few before work this morning...it's fun...and I'm already up to almost $10! If I can average $5 a day between now and our December trip, I'll have around $700 for spending money!

I never would have known about ChaCha if it weren't for the boards, so a big big thank you to you all!

I thought I was 100% accurate! LOLOL Then I got an email from QC saying I wasn't quoting the right thing on Google Maps. I was just hitting the button to use the page, but apparently, you have to click the special link to go to the map, then cut & paste it to open that as a window, and use that! Guess I missed that in the handbook. LOL Hope they don't bust me for each time I did that - it was probably a LOT...got a lot of direction questions. Live & learn. Hope my posting this helps someone else to NOT get in trouble if they were doing the same thing.

This sounds like something I could do I signed up on the site and type in why I would make a good chacha guide last night. How long before I should get an email saying they received it?

I got QCed saying I should provide relationship advice to questions like that. I found a generic relationship site to use as my cite.

Thank you all for posting about ChaCha, I wouldn't have known about it otherwise. I took my Simulator test on Wednesday afternoon and found out I was accepted as a guide yesterday. I haven't had a lot of time to be online so I have only made 2.00 so far but it is 2.00 I didn't have before.

I got my notification Wed night that I had been accepted as a guide. I was gone to Chicago all day yesterday, so it wasn't until today I have had an opportunity to answer any questions. I've answered a dozen or so so far. This happened to me once, but I think what happened was that I accidentally started searching from the question (Dashboard) page. I usually just use google and I keep it open in a separate tab, but by accident I think I went to google over the top of the ChaCha page.

Does that even make sense?

It was the only thing I could think of that had happened. If you click the "Start Searching" button, it should open a new tab for you to search in (even if you don't want to use the ChaCha search engine) and it should work.

I get that sometimes because I accidentally search in my query window and not another. Annoying to put in all that time and then lose the query. I am kind of hating firefox.

Another frustrating thing that has been happening to me is that I am having to clean up after other guides. They are giving incomplete info (like the sentence runs off cause they ran out of characters) or WRONG info which I am then trying to follow up on. It's SUPER annoying - I wish we had a way to report this. Or it would be nice if we could see the link they used... so when someone just asks for "more" info we can click and put some more in.

If you are preparing for the simulator, then yes, that's normal! That IS your simulator test - good luck!

I've been doing it for 11 days and just got to $150 tonight!

I am so excited about this. If I can keep it up that'll be $300/mo. I just work early in morning or late at night.
I haven't kept up with the hours ~ it goes so fast!
