OFF TOPIC but y'all may be the best to help...
Flying to Australia in just over a month. We ordered two backpacks from Marmot which appeard on-line to be good size for use as carry-on luggage. We will be doing carry on only as we have just two nights in each city we're seeing. Did a dry run to chicago with the bags and it wasn't great. Don't feel like I can pack 10 days in that pack and make it work.
I traveled europe in college and lived out of a backpack with very few items. I know that I am not over-packing for Australia, just have the wrong bag.
Any suggestions on a back pack or duffle that is convenient for city touring and outback treks but also fits in the overhead bin?
Thanks! Oh and no need for a water bladder, we've got our nalgene's and plenty of access to clean water.
