OT - Car Seat Safelty

Hi all.
Not sure if this had been posted yet. Did a quick search and didn't see it.

Consumer Reports has done some rigorous testing of car seats. It has been all over the news and I thought many here would like to see it.

I will probably go to the book store today to see if the current issue has the report and see where the one we have for DS (9 weeks old) ranks.

I highly recommend going to car-safety.org for more info about this. I do not think CR is the most respected source for car seat info. Not that their tests should be totally discounted however they should be taken with a grain of salt. Anyway, I'd hate to see a big debate started about this here. Check the above site which has the official JMPA and AAP responses as well as the car seat mfg responses. I think it's worth reading.

I love car-seat.org - the info is very accurate. I rely on that site more than any other.

CR also rated Starbucks, Dyson vacuums, and other quality products very low in their ratings. They are not absolute.

BTW all4fun, your son is so big and cute! I also read your mom's dedication to him on her website... that was so beautiful! You mentioned once she was a published writer and I am embarking on my first published piece so I checked it out. Thanks.
