OT - Can't Find the Power Rangers

Saw this on the refurishment section of this board.

"Power Rangers have left Disney. They have been sold back to original owner."

Oh, what shall we do, what shall we do?!

It just struck me funny this morning!

For those who may be actual fans of the "Power Rangers" franchise, yes, Disney sold them back to the original owner (Saban Entertainment) shortly after Disney aquired the thousands of characters from Marvel Entertainment (Spider-Man, Iron Man, etc.), which was clearly a stronger asset for the Disney portfolio.

What does this mean for a Budget Boarder?

They will no longer see the Power Rangers at any of the Disney Parks, nor will they appear on any of Disney's TV networks (Disney XD/ABC Kids).

The only incarnation of Power Rangers (other than the Japanese version) I liked was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I was so peeved when Jason, Trini, and Zack were replaced that I stopped watching shortly thereafter.
