OT: Can someone explain how to use Facebook?

All of my friends are using Facebook. I signed up for an account. But I have to admit it is a little confusing? Maybe I am too use to the DIS boards. I am hoping to get some tips on how to use it.

You need to start by finding friends. I started by uploading my address book from my email account. It then searches for people using their email addresses and you send them friend requests.

Its all down hill from there. Its very addicitive, Bumper Stickers are my favorite....

I've found a lot of old high school friends. Its a great way of getting caught up with old friends, but not having to make the awkward small talk.

first find friends. It's amazing who you can reconnect with. How do you upload your e-mail addresses?

Then click on "home" and you will see what all your friends are up to. You can send "gifts" "hugs" or play games and invite your friends to play. Just click around and you'll get the hang of it.

I am not sure if anyone can really help you use FB, but just keep playing around with it and eventually you will figure it out. That is what I did. Like PP stated it is very addictive and I love Flair!!!

I'm a Facebook addict, but have only been on for about a month. I have found and reconnected with SO many people from my past. It's a lot of fun. Just start searching - throw in a few names, or you can search from your e-mail list. Also, make sure, if you're married, to include your maiden name so that people can search for you, or if you request someone from your past be your friend, they will recognize your name. Scramble is a lot of fun!

I have the whole friend thing down. Woo Hoo! I also have the message part down. Now, I just have to figure everything else out.
