SOme time ago I had asked if anyone could compare Disney to Princess cruise line for me.
Several folks asked me to post my opinion after our return, so here goes.
We had a great time! Princess is a class act and we woul consider sailing on that ship again. (we sailed on the Grand, which, by the way, shares the same builder as the Magic and Wonder
)
There were the inevitable comparisons to our Disney cruise. There are lots of things Disney just does sooo much better. The terminal for Princess is just a huge brightly painted cavern. No ship models and no mouse ears.
People seemed overall more blase about going on a cruise, we were glad to have met up with some folks from the Cruise Critic boards who shared our enthusiasm
Food was comparable in taste and style. They had Personal Choice dining which meant dine at any time,, this was nice, but we found ourselves missing shows without a set time for dinner.
There were not many kids on board, but those we swa I think were bored. The teenage daughter of friends we met ton the ship did enjoy the teen club very much (and at the sail away party she was sure she would hate it
)
I would recommened this cruise to people who like Disney for a change or a cruise to do without kids. The ship is very beautiful with many small romantic hideaways. And the price can not be beat, we sailed in a mini-suite for a fraction of the price I was quoted by DU. I would rate this cruise on the same quality level as Disney.

P.S. We are sailing in January on Disney and are planning to do our 30th anniversary in October on the Magic
