Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas...

A friend of mine from work (who's in the Disney Vacation Club) wants to know if a charachter, preferably Mickey, could present him with a cake when they are out to dinner for his birthday.

She called DVC and they weren't much help, they couldn't really give her any ideas. They said that a CM could bring out a cake, but, to her, that didn't really seem as special as if Mickey brought it out.

If anyone has ever heard of this, I would greatly appreciate any information you could give me. They're leaving in about a month and if they need any type of ressies, they'd have to do it quick!

Thanks in advance,

Jackie

This is all I could fine on the Mousesavers.com site:

Special Occasions
Don't be shy about mentioning special occasions -- honeymoon, birthday, anniversary -- to the reservations agent, front desk, waiters and other Cast Members. There is no guarantee that you'll get a special treat, but it does happen. When we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge on our honeymoon, we received a bottle of champagne in our room after we mentioned the occasion to the desk clerk. We have also been given free dessert at Artist Point three times, after mentioning a birthday or other occasion.

YES!

I do know that this is a possiblility. It will depend on the location and it does cost a pretty penny. I think it is around $650 to have the mouse (or any other character) show up.

You will need to contact the Disney Entertainment Department.

I would suggest calling the Disney Magic number, I cannot remember what it is, but it is on wdwig.com and ask to speak with the Entertainment Department.

FYI - there is a reduced price for more than one character. I think it is around $1000.

Also, Disney has (or did have) a department that arranges special surprises. They did mostly surprise engagements, but I do know that they also do/did like a surprise Ice Cream Social in the Rose Garden and they had all sorts of packages that included characters as well.

I hope this helps some!
