OT - Bday party 'gifts are not necessary' ?

I agree with the card with a gift in it. Maybe a ToysRUs, Target, or WalMart, or bookstore gift card. Or gift certificates to a local place like the zoo, aqaurium, kids museum, or Tunnels of Fun (or whatever of this type you have in your area) That way the kids coul "share" the gift. My nephew loves the Amazon.com gift card, he likes to pick out his gift online and loves the excitement of having it delivered.

I would probably send cards with gift cards in them. Or if it was a big party ask if I could make anything to bring for the meal.

I went to a birthday party for my firends daughter last month and the invitation said no gifts but you can bring a dish or an out side game for everyone to play because the party was in the park. I brought a gift anyway but I was the only one. LOL!!
