Hello ... my daughter plays basketball and is possibly going to play field lacrosse this summer. She wears glasses and I always worry about her getting her glasses ruined or hurting her eyes. She has seen other kids with sports goggles and says "no way", she isn't going to wear THOSE! So I though maybe if they came in a pink or a purple, we could somehow convince her. Our optomotrist doesn't have pink - said the ones he has (that look more like glasses than goggles) only come in red, blue or silver now.

Does anyone have a daughter with pink/purple sport glasses or know a girl who has them? I am not the only parent looking for them - another mom wants them for her daughter for basketball and soccer as well - so if you have any leads we are willing to follow them!!! lol

Thank you for any help!!!

My daughter wore glasses until she was 10 (weak eye issue), and she definitely wore sports goggles. She plays rep soccer, and they will not allow regular glasses on the field.

When she was 5, she was hit in the face with a soccer ball. She wasn't hurt, but the glasses certainly were! ;) I decided to take no more chances after that.

Her goggles were bright red. She had a dark brown bob at the time and pale skin ... always my Snow White! :) I've mostly seen the grey goggles on other girls - I have seen one set of "clear" ones. I have yet to see purple or pink. :confused3

2 years later and people from other clubs still ask me where her goggles are ... it made her stand out.

The only problem I found with them is that they tended to fog up in high humidity, and hers had a double strap which was harder to adjust. Try to look for ones with a single strap. I'm not sure what your optomotrist had but these definitely looked like goggles .. no side frames.

Basically, I didn't give her the option of not wearing them ... just a choice of red, blue, or grey. If she doesn't want to stand out, stick with grey and call them "princess silver" ;)

Hi. I hope this helps, my daugther is in the same boat...she is very active but hates the idea of wearing goggles for sports. She will, unfortunately, have to wear glasses until she's in her twenties because of a severe astigmatism, so I'm looking into goggles. I saw pink goggles on line at zennioptical (choose goggles as an option and it will take you right to them).

I'm still on the fence though. She just started basketball and soccer this year and I'm wondering if I should wait and subject her to the goggles later or do it now to help her learn and improve?

Thanks for that website!! Those pink ones are adorable :) I sent them to another mom who is also looking for them for her daughter!!! They are perfect! Now to figure out the ordering process and sizing, etc ....

Thanks so much!
