OT: Baby Formula Returnable?

I have over 200 size 2 diapers my son grew out of.. do you think a food pantry would accept them? 2 of the packs from inside the box are still sealed one has a few taken out of them. I tried my hardest to use em but he's a huge baby and we HAD to go up a size..

YES!

I worked for a local non-profit organization. One division worked with pregnant and new mothers and would always accept any donations (clothes, formula, diapers that they could drop off at people's houses when they visited). They also kept a stash of diapers and formula in the food pantry to offer to anyone who came in with a baby. (Most food pantries also take donations of feminine products, soaps, etc as well)

You can also check for Women's Shelters - they will often take infant items. Other places to ask would be the Pediatrician or hospital - they often know of charities for families with infants - and churches.

In our area, we donated a bunch of baby clothes, toys, books, diapers - pretty much anything related to babies - to a local group called Welcome Baby. They see each new mom in the hospital and give them a new mom kit with useful information, and for families that need it, they have a place that they can go once a month and get clothes and supplies. I think we donated most of our DD's outgrown clothes and diapers and stuff there - and I'm sure a place like that would take formula as well. The hospital staff knew all about them, as well as our Pediatrician, so your doctor might have some suggestions on where you can donate it as well.

Another option would be a local church - I know our church often solicits donations for needy families, and advertises our local Catholic Parish Outreach, which takes pretty much any item you can think of (food, clothes, toys, houshold goods) and distributes them to needy families.

:goodvibes Thank you. I'm glad it worked out too. the cost of formula is one of the reasons I'm bfing this time around. The cost of formula is down right scary! I really am enjoying it.. I never in a million years thought I would. I need to ask around and find a food pantry. We've never been in need of one so I"m not even sure where one is around me. Heck I dont even know if my small small small town has one :confused3

I would call a church in your area, they would probably know of a food bank or shelter that could use it.
