our hospice uses an out of state company for our off hours triaging. It's not Fonemed but similar. I've spoken to a few of the nurses and they love it. They seem to err on the side of caution and send out our on call nurses more than when we used to triage ourselves. We tended to try to problem solve over the phone first. I think it's out of concern for liability. I would definitely carry my own liability insurance (not just the company's) if I did it.
