My 14-year-old daughter wants a guitar and lessons. Originally she wanted electric, but due to my comments has decided to start with accoustics. I suggested accoustic because: talked to a couple teachers who say if you learn on electric it will be very hard for you to play accoustic, portability - can't play electric with no hydro, price, noise level. Now I'm thinking maybe I should get her an electric since that was her first interest - any comments?
Secondly, what is a good, relatively inexpensive (under $250) accoustic guitar to learn on? What about electric? Anyone ever heard of Robson guitars (electric package at Futureshop for $199) but I can't even find mention of them on a Google search.
Thanks for any help - I am completely guitar illiterate!
