OT: Another request for good thoughts and prayers...

Hi everyone,

I feel so awkward asking for your thoughts and prayers, but I have seen how the power of the boards has helped many people out of illness...

I've been having severe migraines for the past three weeks, almost all day, every day. I've never had a problem with headaches or migraines in the past. I went to the doctor yesterday to get it checked out because it's gotten so bad, and he's sending me to a neurologist for tests, scans, etc. From what he could see (using the light in my eye) he doesn't think I have a tumor, but there is a high possibility that blood could be pooling on the left frontal side of my brain, and that might be causing the severe migraines and very poor vision. If that is the case, I will probably need brain surgery to remove the excess blood and do whatever else the neurologist thinks is necessary.

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers in the coming week... I'll let you know how things go. Our appointment is scheduled for next week.

omg..so sorry to hear. they always give the worst case scenario so that you's be prepared..im sure you ll be fine. Im not very religious but i do believe just knowing that people are praying for you somehow helps you cope with whatever your going thru, so im gonna send a prayer out to you that you get good results. best of luck and keep us updated

Ack! As dana1003 said, doctors like to prepare you for the worst case scenario, but I really hope it turns out to be something much simpler. I developed vascular migraines, and my doctor put me on a low-dose of blood pressure meds, and it worked fantastically. I'm going to hope & pray that's what you have!

Thank you so much everyone! I really, really appreciate it! I too hope that I am just being prepared for the worst case scenario, but in the back of my mind (no pun intended) I just can't help thinking that it is something more serious...
