When I was PG with DD, I threw up A LOT!! And everytime I did I peed a little.

Well, 5 years later, whenever I cough too much, throw up or other things like that, I pee a little.

I know this is gross, but I am wondering what others do about this.

Thanks

You probably need to do some kegle exercises. I would see my Dr. about this and thye can make some suggestions. I had the same problem and still do every now and them. Kegle exercises are what she suggested....It could be something else so please do see DR.

It is a fairly normal side effect of pushing kids out/being pregnant. Happens to me too. It is called stress incontinence.Happens for me with jumping, coughing sneezing, laughing etc. Do Kegels, wear a panty liner. You can talk to your doc about it. If it is severe there may be things they can do, but otherwise, it is just one of those things.

Ohhh I remember that. I wet my pants a few times because I was throwing up so hard! Like, full on peed my pants...:lmao: only on the DIS can I admit this!

I think the Kegels will help you a lot, and I'm sure your Dr. can help you medication-wise if need be.

Yep, give the Kegels a try first and then see the doc if that doesn't help.

Try the Kegels first. However......

If it really becomes a major problem, I believe there are surgical options. My aunt had this done in her 50s and had great results. She couldn't believe she lived with the problem so long.

Weakness of the pelvic floor muscles that support the bladder can cause incontinence. You can see your doc but also physical therapists can help with exercises and other things. Check it out.

I am a midwife and doula and hear this in my work. Check out this website
www.hab-it.com
I have not viewed the dvd yet but know several moms that have and say that it is awesome and they are seeing results. Of course talk to your care provider with concerns, kegels can help, physical therapy is always an option with someone with special studies in this field(as moms we don't want to be wasting our time) and check out the website! Good luck you are not alone.

Stress incontinence, it happens to a lot of women after having babies. See if you can find a uro-gynocologist in your area. Or ask your regular obgyn to refer one for you. There are procedures to fix this. My mother had one several year ago. It is called TVT, trans ******l taping. It is a same day procedure where the doc goes in through the vag and basically reinforces the neck of the bladder. She spent 18 days walking around Europe about 2 weeks after the procedure, so I would say it went well.
