If I meet someone and they do not like Disney or WDW I get turned off by them. Wished there was a Dis date site. lol

I know exactly what you mean. When I tell someone about my love for WDW, I wonder if that will turn them off to me. They usually say no, and that they love Disney too, but I'm thinking, not as much as I do. LOL.

And they don't have to love it as much as you do. I'm more  with Disney than my DH but he has still gone on 5 trips in the last 8 years with me.
He enjoys it, loves all of the details (especially after we took the KTTK tour), and loves to try the various restaurants. Now does he like to ride things multiple times or read all of the Disney books - no. Everything else is good.

I also say check out the adult and singles board. That is where my wife and I met. We've thanked Pete many times for creating this universe. If not for him, I would not be living the fulfilled life I am right now. Give it a shot, you never know.

We also know at least 2 other couples who have actually been married after meeting on the DIS or at meets organized by DIS'ers.

This is amazingly fantastic!

I posted something on the singles board. I thought it was people traveling alone. I didn't realize it was a match-making board until I got a PM asking if I was single and interested!

I was not.

I have a partner. He has no interest at all in Disney. We have our own wonderful vacations. Recent rips to WDW have been with my birth family and a friend from high school. My next trip will be Podcast Cruise 2.0 with "total strangers" who are not so strange as I feel like I sort of know them even though we have never met.

My Dh was not a disney fan when we met. He wasn't opposed to it, just had no exposure. Our first vacation was to WDW and he's been hooked ever since and we've vacationed there every year since. We had our wedding there and now go a minimum of 2x per year. After 2 trips last year - our wedding and a free dining trip - we bought DVC at BLT. We got in 2 trips this year and had a 3rd planned before our little pirate decided to surprise us with his presence. We're now anxiously awaiting his debut into the real world :rotfl:. We're taking him for his first trip at 4 months old!!

So, my point is, as long as the person isn't ANTI Disney, you can have the joy of possibly opening their eyes to the wonder that is Disney!!

Exactly!! My current boyfriend didn't really think one way or the other about Disney 'till he met me. He is by no means as obsessive as I am, but he really loved our Paris trip and cannot wait to go to WDW in June!

I think it is more important to find a nice guy/ girl, who will appreciate and accommodate your excentricities than necessary finding one person who has exactly the same obsession. New obsessions bring something else to the relationship! ;)

I told my partner about a person who thought they were being too pickey if a "potential" was not intersted in Disney. He burst out laughing. There are many other ways to judge a person's "goodness". In a well-balanced life, Disney and WDW should not be so very overwhelming. Include other influence and you will both benefit.

Good luck in future happiness! :goodvibes
