They are cute.

Generally how are rabbits with small children? I want to get Kacee a pet for his 2nd birthday and the wife says that we can't have a cat as she is scared that a cat would scratch him (fair enough really)

Rabbits are pretty good for small children and they rarely bite. However, my last rabbit did have mental health problems that made her aggressive.... This isn't very common though.

Why not get him something like a hamster? I have a Chinese Dwarf Hamster and they are really good for young children (They rarely bite, and if they do it is mainly out of fear or being startled) and they are really easy to take care of.... This is my little fella:

If you do go for a rabbit, I would recommend something small that he can handle. My last rabbit was huge and quite a handful for a young kid.

Another good option could be a Guinea Pig. They're somewhere between hamsters and rabbits, and they are very adorable. They make an endearing squeaking sound that always makes me smile!

Ahh what a cutey

I had a hamster, named Cantona (after the French footballer) who was a violent little bugger. Used to have to put gloves on and dangle your finger into the cage so that he would bite it, and then transfer him into the sink to keep him away from the cat (:lmao: ) and then the same on the way back in!!

A rabbit with mental health problems, that sounds funnier than it probably was!

Luckily Link (My hammie) isn't violent!!

It sounds funny but it really wasn't.... She kept having phantom pregnancies and assaulting everything.... Especially our poor Guinea pig!!

Ah bless!!

I'll have to talk to the wifey about pets, she isn't really an animal person to be honest. She had a rabbit that was half wild and sounds much like your old rabbit insomuch as it would attack anything including the next door neighbours dog's! She was devastated when her Mum made her have the rabbit put down and has never had another pet since (well other than me  )

:lmao: I prefer being snuggled up on the sofa (or on the end of the bed as happens most nights when Kacee decides he wants company at 3am :rotfl2: )

Robert has to be taken out daily, fed regularly, and is house trained!!

I can't pick what toys to get my bunnies!! My old rabbit used to like my stickle bricks and lego (She used to nudge them into 'towers') but we don't have them anymore!!

Awwww.... I love it. I had a book when I was really ickle about a rabbit called Pippin who wanted to learn to look after the garden for his Granddad.....

Bob xoxox

Awwww that's soooo cute

It used to make me cry though because Pippin couldn't do the garden properly because he was too little..... But then his Granddad gave him a little set of gardening things for himself so he could help him look after the garden, and that always used to cheer me up!

I used to get uncontrollably upset at the book Flat Stanley. For years and years I wouldn't have anything on the walls of my bedroom, not even posters!!!
