OT- 5:45, my new reality!

DD#1 starts middle school tomorrow. The bus will pick her up at 6:40. In the elementary school years, the bus came at 8:10, so this is a significant shift in our lives. We got up today as a "dry run" for tomorrow. I like the early morning, but getting up in the dark isn't my thing (unless it's to make RD at a park, lol). The sun is up now, but when we go back to standard time, she's going to be going to the bus stop in the dark!

Anyway, it looks like my DISboard days will be starting a lot earlier from now on.....so anyone who is up and about at 5:45 will have company now .

I'm often on here about that time, of course it's a far more realistic time over here with the time difference! Maybe we should start an early birds club for you lot being forced to wake at ridiculous times?!?

That's early for middle school. Of the schools around here, middle school is the latest one to start. It starts at 9:30 or around there. I prefer the early start times so that there is more time in the afternoon for DS to get his homework done, do his activities, and have a bit of free time. DS's high school starts at 8:00 which works pretty good.

I'll be here on the boards bright and early with you each morning! I like getting up early and I'm usually up at 5:30. I don't plan to get up that early (I'd prefer 6:30), but my cats have decided that 5:30 is the time I should get up and feed them and they will drive me batty until I do and once I'm up I'm up for the day!

i'm up at that time! i get up with dh and make his lunch and coffee EVERY morning while he gets ready for work. it's probably the best time of the day. we discuss what needs to be discussed for the day, what's what, and so one. so i'm usually on around that time too!
although i've had a lot going on lately, so the past few days i've been MIA!

LOL, my DH leaves between 5:15 and 5:30, so I'm good.

DD#1 headed out at 6:45 today. DD#2 was up and about at 5:35 and her bus doesn't come until 8:10. I decided to let her watch Arthur from 7-7:30...and I worked on the 1st 2 pages of our trip album . There may be an upside to this getting up in the dark after all .

I got your card yesterday. I'm so glad that nightlight came in handy. We used one in the hotel room, so that was my original intent. But I like coming to the rescue better.
