WTG Sandra!! I'm sure you've told us before but what are you doing to loose the weight?
I'm at about the same point you were when you started and I desperatly want to loose it all - with me 'pushing 40'

I think it's even more important now for me to get going!!
i just seem to be having such a tough time loosing any of it!!
Hi ~ I 'pushed 40' over 3 years ago heeheehee. Now if I can measure my breasts with anything other than saying "42 long" I'd be thrilled!
What am I doing to lose weight? Well, it's all the stuff we all know about. Spend more calories than I eat thru exercise and proper diet.
I figured out proper diet by learning the fat, sodium and calorie content of just about ever food.
There is a little forum I use to calculate my daily calorie intake allowance. Basically it's this:
Activity
Little to none: Factor is 10
Moderate: Factor is 13
Heavy: Factor is 15
I want to be about 135lbs-ish, so I intake the calories of a 135lbs women.
Forum: 135[lbs] x 13[Factor] =
1755 calories per day that a 135lbs women who exercises moderately needs to eat to maintance 135lbs weight.
Right now, I am 192 lbs. So;
Forum: 192[lbs] x 13[Factor] =
2496 calories to maintain 192lbs.
One pound = 3500 calories
2496 - 1755 = 741 calories difference between a 192lbs women who moderately exercises and a 135lbs women who moderately exercises.
3500 divided by 741 = 4.7.....that means I lose one pound every 4.7 days.
Because I actually eat less than 1755.....it's more like 1400-1500 calories per day. It's more like this:
2496 - 1450 = 1046 calories difference
3500 divided by 1046 = 3.3....so I lose one pound every 3.3 days....or 2 pounds per week....which is what I've been doing.
My moderate exercise consists of 3-5km on my treadmill DAILY. I mix it up a bit by sometimes going fast on a flat surface, sometimes going slower on an incline and everywhere in between.
I also use 5lb weights for my arms and "42 long" chest 3-5 times a week. And I'm slowly adding ab work and yoga.
On weekends I still do the treadmill but do other things too; biking [preparing for a Duathalon in August], hiking, swimming etc.,.
As far as drinking water.....well, I do, but I love tea, so I drink A LOT of tea; decaf green tea, decaf and regular tea, herbal teas and decaf coffee occasionally. And YES, I still use milk and sugar in my tea.
I eat carbs and limit fats and sodium. LOTS of veggies and low-cal options to foods; mayo, cheese.
I get LOTS of good sleep too! And feed my soul and spirit with people, art, books and nature.
I made myself a priority in my life.
Blessings, Sandra
