Maggie,

Where do you live? We have to drive from London to Belmore for a girls hockey game tomorrow and I'm wondering if I should leave twice as early as usual. I hate that drive up Hwy 4 in squall season...

Oh my.... I'm not THAT far away - we've had the blowing snow and it's coming down lightly now but not enough to close schools!!

My daughter plays St. Thomas Midget AA and we play against Saugeen at 5:30 in Belmore. Not provincial playdowns - this is league playoffs.

I've sent you a PM.

Amazing how different regions (so close together!) can have such different weather! Usually we ALWAYS get hit with the snow (Ingersoll....Woodstock is bad too) but I can still see grass peaking out. My 4 year old is desperate for the snow to go away (and stay away!) because he wants to play outsite on the "jumperoo" (inflatble jumping thing!) COME ON SPRING!!

I know! I used to work in Kitchener and I usually hit 3 different "snow walls" as I called them:lmao: Driving home could be quite the adventure..90 kms and I could leave Kitchener in the sun and by the time I got to Wingham I couldn't see cause of snowsqualls!!

I can remember calling my manager in the morning and saying I couldn't make it in to work 'cause roads are closed and he would laugh and say what are you talking about!..the sun is shining here!!!! Luckily for me , he was very understanding:thumbsup2

My dogs love the snow!! Their path was clear of snow at 8 AM and now look at it at 1:00PM!

Wow we only got flurries in Burlington ..... I LOVE your dogs I have two Yorkies a male and a female.... Bear and Dallas I love them to death they are my babies!!!!

Thankyou! They are kinda shaggy right now..they haven't been groomed in a while...the two silver/tan ones are female...Missy and Cassy...and the black and blue is our little guy, Gizmo. We are breeders of yorkies but unfortunately Gizzy has been shooting blanks lately!! But we treat them more as babies..we aren't really breeders in the true sense. Most of my breeder friends say get rid of gizzy and get a new stud!! We could NEVER do that...we keep the babies when they're born in our living room:lmao:

I am so glad you have your Yorkies..they are a wonderul breed:thumbsup2

Does it never stop snowing up there? :confused3 We just got back from the Belmore-Hanover-Ayton overnight itinerary an hour ago, and I swear it snowed the entire time we were there! Now I know why everyone has an AWD vehicle. :drive:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

You are right...it seems to NEVER stop snowing here AND it looks like another snow day tomorrow..!! I am so sick of going to the Weather Channel and seeing that big red WARNING across the screen:mad:

My girls work at McDonalds in Listowel and their manager called us 2 hours ago and said come and get them (2 hours early) because it is getting really bad!

So how was the hockey games and where did you end up staying?

Gee, we drove right by the Listowel McDonalds around 2:45 yesterday afternoon. We could have stopped in and said hi. ;)

We lost the Saturday game 4-2 - had a goal called back and ran into some questionable penalty problems - so 5 of us stayed overnight at the Traveller's Inn in Hanover. Others had friends, family, or cottages they stayed at in the area - only two groups drove back to St. Thomas overnight.

The Sunday game in Ayton was a very entertaining game, and the girls managed to hang on for a 3-1 empty-net win. (My DD played goal for that game.) Now the girls get Sarnia for the next series. Oh joy, more driving in squall country in March...

That's what I said when we moved from NB to Whitby and now to Kincardine. Nothing prepared me for the crap we get here! I'd take large amounts of snow at a time over this constant snowing and blowing crap!!!
