I! I’, doing an article about Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, but I’m having some difficult about a few questions. Can some one help me in this?

The rights about Oswald the Lucky Rabbit were bought by Disney from Universal in February this year. But now I read that the rights were bought again by John Lasseter from Pixar. Is this true?

Didn’t Disney buy Pixar recently? And if that so, why did Lasseter buy again the rights?

Can some one help me in this?

Your second source is wrong.

Oswald's rights were retained by Universal when Walt Disney was fired from the production team. They retained the rights until recently when NBC (parent of Universal) obtained the rights to Sunday Night Football from ESPN (part of the Disney family). Well, with Monday Night Football going to ESPN, that left Al Micheals, one of the greatest play-by-play men in the business, without a job. But he was still under contract with ABC. So, NBC decided they wanted Micheals for their new football production. Part of the package they arranged to bring Mr Miracle on Ice to the Peacock was that they would return the rights to Oswald to ABC, and thus Walt Disney Studios.

Not sure where Lassiter comes into play.
