I thought Diane's dress was nice.


I thought Kate Hudson's dress was gorgeous. She was only on for a split second though. I thought Renee looked too pale in red. Didn't like it. Halle always looks classy. Nicole Kidmon looked beautiful last night!

I liked Renee Zellweger's dress but I thought that it was all wrong on her. I just did not like her in that bright red dress. Catherine Zeta-Jones (not pregant) would have looked great in that color, it was perfect for her coloring.

Did anybody else notice that many of the women could not make a facial expression if they wanted to. The whole top half of their face was fozen. It looked terrible.

I thought that Renee looked bad. Head too big for her body and her face was frozen into this horrible mask. I didn't like her hair and I defintely did not like the red lipstick.

Well, that was my Joan River's moment.

Salma Hayek, she looked great! So did most of the women.

Dressed i liked: Mira Sorvino, Julianne Moore, Jennifer Gardner (sp?), Geena Davis, and Kate Hudson.

Who (shockingly) looked good: Meryl Streep

Strikingly good: Nicole Kidman, Selma Hayek

Renee looked terrified before the best actress announcement. Most of the canidates looked the most relaxed that they could, but she could hardly clap and didnt smile. I also agree that her head looks too big and she's just so frail and extremley skinny. Her dress was pretty though.

And how about Mickey Mouse??? That was cute.

I thought everyone looked great and Steve Martin's opening monologue was hysterical! LOVED those pics of the people who he'd "gotten it on" with! LOL!

Catherine Zeta Jones looked amazing for a VERY pregnant woman! I loved Selma Hayak's dress but don't particularly like her! Halle always looks great, what a beautiful woman she is!

Michael Moore never really cared what people thought about him so he will survive. Heck, a convicted pedophile won for best Director!!! WhazUP with that???

I thought Nicole Kidman looked terrible last night. Didn't like her dress and her face and hair were very HARD looking -- very extreme! I like it better when she has soft curls and her hair is down. IMHO

Loved Halle's dress, Selma was gorgeous. Catherine was terrific. As a singer who tried to sing while as pregnant as Catherine is now, I have to say she did a terrific job! When that baby is pushing your diaphram all to smithereens, it's really hard to breath correctly. Have to say, I felt her pain, so to speak. And as far as Sean Connery goes, I was soooo surprised to see he had on pants!!! I was sure he was going with a kilt. Very disappointed. Ah well.....maybe next time.

I thought Steve teased Mickey Rooney too much, just thought it went a bit over the line about his age, lets show a little respect for age and wisdom!! I too thought Sean would have looked great in a kilt. The reason they can't move their faces is they probably just all got injected with botox yesterday!! Thought all the women looked lovely, heck I think Lee jeans in a color other than denim is formal wear for me.

I think Mickey loved it. For heaven's sake they had him way in the back - he probably loved the attention! I ADORE Steve Martin and I always have. It might have something to do with the fact that my DH is JUST like him!

I thought Queen Latifah looked great in the black dress she wore to sing in - and her hair and makeup looked great but didn't like the Madonna cones on her chest in her blue dress! I loved Salma Hayek's look - but she doesn't seem to have one ounce of humor in her. I thought Renee and Nicole looked like they'd gone crazy with the botox - but I loved Nicole's dress. I thought Catherine looked GREAT! I HATED Meryl's dress - I thought she looked way too matronly - but she cracked me up when she cracked herself up - I'm the same way! I thought Hilary Swank's dress was pretty - but her hair looked like she pulled it back to put her make-up on and forgot to put her make-up on! I thought Barbra looked the same way - too plain. Halle was gorgeous as ever - but I would have kicked that guy in the groin if he'd laid a smooch like that on me! She handled it very graciously!

But the one's that really impressed me were Olivia De Haviland, Luis Raines and whatever the lady's name that one for Mrs. Miniver back in the 40's. They all looked great and I thought Olivia sounded wonderful.
