If you had to choose one, which would it be? We will be down there for Thanksgiving and it looks like we may only have one day at disney. I have thought about trying to cram them both into one day, but the first Candlelight Processional is at 5 and lasts until 5:40. By the time we got out of the park and into MGM, it would likely be 6:30. Is that enough time for Osbourne lights? Which would you choose? Would you try to squeeze them both in?

Edited to add that it will be me, Dsis, DS6 and DNephew 4. None of us have ever been to either. Thanks!

I think you'd have enough time but if not, I'd pick CP.
Good Luck and have a great time!!

If I can squeeze them both in, I'd really love too. We have seasonal passes and I promised DH no more Disney if he let us get AP's. We've never been to either and will likely not get another chance to go again anytime soon, so if I can possibly do both, I definately want to! I was thinking that Me and Dsis would like CP better, but the kids would like the lights better. Is CP fun for kids? I know they'd love the snow and lights. Neither of them have ever seen snow. Really, me or Dsis haven't either. How long does it take to do Osbourne Lights? Would an hour be enough? My reserve about doing them both is being rushed and stressed and then not having enough time to see the lights. So, how long does it take you?

I'd pick CP too, but I'd try really hard to do both. It only takes about 15 minutes to see all of the osborne lights if you walk a normal pace.

That's great to hear! We will definately do both. Thanks so much for everyone's replies. I was really hoping to do both, but didn't know if it was possible. :thumbsup2

You have plenty of time to do both. Go to the 5pm CP, then take the boat to MGM. MGM is open until 8pm all of T-day weekend.

I wouldn't want to rush between them; I don't like to rush at Disneyworld. I'd choose the lights because of the age of your children. The CP is beautiful and just the right length for adults, but I think it would be boring and long for 4 and 6 year old boys.

The lights on the other hand should enjoyable for the whole family. We LOVED the lights last Christmas. We stayed for over an hour just soaking up the atmosphere.

:worship: :worship: :worship: Bless you! The main reason I was worried about doing both was getting from one park to the other. I totally forgot you could take the boat. THANKS SO MUCH for making my life 10,000 time easier!!!!!!

This is exactly what I was thinking. But it sounds like we may be able to work it out. DS said he really wants to hear the bible narration and christmas carols, so I am thinking we'll try both if it's possible.

Well, that seals it, 20 to 6 to 6, in favor of squeezing them both in (which is what i really want to do anyway). It's official. Thanks for the help on this one guys! You have put my worries to rest. You guys are the best! :thumbsup2
