Sorry if this has been asked but if the Osbourne Lights start at 6:00 and Fantasmic at 7:00, and according to prior posts I've read, we may or may not get to see the lights after Fantasmic, would it be cutting it too close to see the lights right at 6:00 then jaunt over to Fantasmic? Also, where in the park are the lights located? Close to the theater? Or across the park? Have seen Fantasmic many times and just love it but this will be our first time experiencing the lights and I want to make sure and do that! We are planning on doing this the Wednesday before X-mas. I think that's the 20th. Opinions? Thanks!

Please tell me more about this---I thought I'd read that since they go to all the trouble to set it up, that they let the crowds go over and see the lights AFTER fantasmic ends. Is this not true?? :confused3

It is generally true that you can.

But it not guaranteed every single night (due to scheduling conflicts with other events that may take place within MGM).

SO, just make sure you check with Guest Relations, when you are THERE, to see if the OLights will be open to guests following Fantasmic! that night.

We were there last week and the park's closing hours were one hour after Fantasmic. We easily made it back over to the lights after Fantasmic. If you try to go before (which we also did for about 5 very rushed minutes), you don't really get to enjoy the Osborne Lights...plus, we almost missed getting a seat to Fantasmic, and it was on a day with very low crowds. So, check the park hours. If they built in that one hour cushion on the night you are going, you should have time to get back over to Osborne and enjoy them. They really are amazing, but I think they are the best when it is your last thing to do that evening and you have time to just stand in the middle of all those lights and let it all "happen" around you...Have fun! (PS They are on the Streets of America, which is over by L,M,A and Pizza Planet - it is a walk to get over to the theater).

So, what you're saying is if we won't be able to see them after, they'll be able to tell us that before Fantasmic starts, right? Great to know! Thanks for the tip.
