Just wondering if anyone has heard of the Osborne lights are coming back this winter but on a smaller scale. There is a website on the Disney website for it. I thought it was the old info and they just haven't deleted it but it has been updated to say the location is Muppets Courtyard. Don't think that name existed last time. You can google Osborne Lights to find it by going into the Disney website backdoor. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/e...s/osborne-family-spectacle-of-dancing-lights/

That is perplexing... and very interesting!

Hard ticket event is my guess.
Very possible, and in line with their current MO. It does state this also......

Theme park admission price is per person and based on the price of an adult 1-Day Value Ticket for this park; Special Event ticket price is based on single-event admission per person. Price shown does not include tax.

This would be great. Haven't seen Osborne lights in past and I'm going in Dec 2016.

I'm not willing to go by anything on the website. It could be they just changed all instances of Streets of America to read "Muppets Courtyard" and just never took down the entry. At any rate, even for a hard ticket event, that area that currently exists appears too small to host such a display.

Hard ticket event is my guess.

I'd pay for it. Was just talking with my fam last night about how there's nothing really left in DHS. Not sure if it'd be there or moved to EPCOT - regardless, it'd be a welcomed addition (or return, rather.)

But not too small to fit a meet & greet, dessert experience with photo opps and a smaller light display.

I can't imagine paying for that small a light display except with something else thrown in. Not just dessert either.

I copied this from the Osborne thread on the Disney Rumors & News Board:

"Hey gang, Tristan here, my wife is Breezy Osborne of The Osborne Family. Some facts:

1. No contracts were cancelled, the last contract ran out in 2015. (In previous posts I have said the contract ran through 2017, I was mistaken in that information.)

2. Disney owns the lights, the Osborne family (Breezy & Mitzi) own 99.9% of the apparatus used in the display. Pretty much everything except the canopy.

3. The apparatus are still in storage on Disney property.

4. There are currently ZERO plans to resurrect the lights in any way shape or form in regards to the SODL.

5. The family has received offers from just about every other major theme park in the USA and abroad as potential new homes for the display. (It's unlikely they will ever make it to any of those, since the family is adamant that the lights remain with Disney, or they come home and are donated to the city of Little Rock.)

6. The entire SODL team have all been either let go from the Disney company or they have been put on other projects.

These are the facts that we as the family know. Thanks for all the support, we want the lights to live on as much as you all do!!!
