Does anyone know if they still hand out those really cool 3D glasses at the Osborne Lights? I know a few years ago they were handing out these glasses that when you looked at the lights there were either angels floating around them or snowflakes. They worked on all christmas lights and were the coolest things. I know that in 2004 that they didn't hand them out. I was just wondering if anyone heard of them starting them again.

I think they stopped handing out the effect glasses three years or so ago. But I have bought my own at places like Ace Hardware for $1 each.
The light up carts that go around the MK streets use to sell "Fireworks" viewing paper glasses for $1 each. I don't know if they still have them, as they were in the Disney outlet stores for 49 cents each too.

But -- last night we saw the 2006 Osborne Family of Dancing Lights (presented by Sylvania). It was GREAT!
They play the traditional music, have the snow, etc. But around every 10 minutes they play one of the special songs where the lights "dance" to the music. VERY COOL.
The crowd clapped and cheered after each of those songs.
I may "have to" return tonight. ;) :thumbsup2

No,evidently the 3D glasses have been permanently discontinued. The lights will, however,"dance" to music for the first time this year. :)

Thanks for your answers!!! I just had found some of those glasses at Lowe's yesterday and was wondering about them at MGM. I can't wait to see the Dancing Lights this year!!!! Again thanks for the reply.

A friend of mine got me into a cast preview and they gave them out there. Not sure about what they are doing now that it is open.

DD and I saw the lights tonight. No glasses, but the dancing lights were great!

Saw the lights tonight. Incredible showing. They seem to get better every year.

just trying to figure out if we can see the lights then head over to epcot for the last CP show at 8:15. anybody know what time the lights and music start for osbourne?

The lights run from 6 pm to 8 pm. It doesn't take very long to catch all of the displays. And the lights dancing to music is terrific! (it manages to stop EVERYONE in their tracks). If you started @ 6 and are still looking at *new* lights by 7, then you are looking much harder than everyone else. Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

Hey Al, not sure if you've seen it yet, but your MouseVids site is now the #1 Disney videos site ( http://www.thedisneyportal.com/tdp/show.asp?DisneySites=Videos ). Must be your popular Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights video that is increasing your traffic..........

Saw the lights last week, not sure why you'd need 3D glasses. The lights were spectacular! Definately a must see!

We live about an hour away and are trying to decide whether the "new" dancing lights are worth a trip, as we would not otherwise head back to see them again. Can you give me some idea of how "new and improved" they area?

I think it is worth coming back for it. Everyone just stops and watches when the lights dance.

We thought it was worth going to as well. There are alot of lights that are synched up to the music and it is impressive with what they can do.

The glasses you are talking about can be bought right now at most Cracker Barrells. I think they are around $1-2.

Thanks for the tip. I wonder if regular polarized sunglasses would work?
