I've been looking around various websites for info about the Osborne Lights at MGM and they all agree on one thing - the start date is November 23rd.

However, I was just looking at the official Disneyworld.com site and they say it starts 14th November (link here : http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/parks/specialEventsDetail?id=OsborneLightsSpecialEventPage)

Does this mean they've only recently changed the date and other sites just haven't had a chance to update yet, or have Disney not publicised the new dates well enough so nobody else knows, or is it just a mistake or their part? I'm hoping not, because we're going to be there until the 18th and I would SOOOOO like to see the lights!

Yes I belive Disney extended the dates. They are well ahead of schedule for putting up the lights. Since they have had perfect weather and no storms to interupt.

I cant wait to see them again! It has been a couple years since I have been there that time of year. Cant wait for all the Christmas decorations for that matter :)

If you havent seen them in a couple of years, I think you are in for a disappointment. But that is just my opinion. But I loved them better when they where in the residential area, compared to being on the city streets now.

I actually emailed Disney to confirm that the start date is Nov 14th - I was wondering if it was only the 14th for AP holders & special groups....they emailed back & said that the start date is Nov 14th for everyone! I can't wait!

That is superb news! We've always wanted to go at (or just before) Christmas and see ALL the holiday decorations, but can't because of DW's work - they won't let her have any time off between the third week in November and the New Year as that's their busiest time of year. But at least this way we'll get to see something!

I just found out yesterday that they will start on Nov 14. I was so excited  since I have never seen them.

I think it will be a great surprise to my family that is driving me crazy while I try and plan this trip.

nope, not just you... I totally agree the lights were A LOT better on Residential street. I don't know if it was just spread out more, but I wasn't really impressed with the city street scene.

Thanks so much for verifying that information. We're going Thanksgiving week and were hoping to see the lights early in the week, if they were already on. Now we know they will be.

Off subject, sorry to OP.I remember in past you got 3-D glasses passed out free by CM'S that you could wear and were neat to see the lights with them.Last year I don't remember them handing them out.Do you remember those 3-D glasses?I hope they hand them out this year. :goodvibes :wave2: :wizard:
