Osborne Lights Timing Help?

I'm trying to decide whether to do dinner at 7:05 or 7:45 (with a DHS closing of 8:00pm and a Fantasmic at 8:30) How much time do you need with the lights (First time seeing them!!!!)? If we get there at 6 will we have enough time with the lights before 7:05 dinner?!

We saw them for the first time last year and it took us about an hour to see them, pose for a couple photo pass pictures, and watch the "dancing" show.

So a 7:05 wouldn't give us enough time?

What day are you going? Last yr we went on a weekend and it was so mobbed, it was like everyone take one step forward and again and again.

Are you doing Fantasmic? I would think you could eat dinner and then go see the lights. In the past they stayed lit for about an hour after park closing. Or check it out before and after dinner.

I have two reservations one for a Saturday (our arrival day) and one for Tuesday. Both are "not recommended" days on Easywdw :/ I wish I could get that Monday reservation. I'll just have to keep checking. I love Fantasmic so I would love to be able to do both the lights and Fantasmic if that's possible??

I hesitated and of course the 7:05 is gone now anyway, but this is good to figure out now in case the reservation comes up again.
