Osborne Lights and Fantasmic......

We're going to view the parks decked out for Christmas for the first time. My father and his girlfriend are coming with us. When we went last November, we saw Fantasmic and were thoroughly thrilled with the show. We want them to see the show too.

My problem: Can we see Fantasmic and the Osborne lights in the same night? Right now, I'm thinking we won't be able to do both. This will be our only day at MGM.

We're only going to be at the resort for 5 days. We arrive Sunday (we're doing MVMCP that night). Monday is a day off because we'll be up late the night before and I want time to see the other resorts and shop at DTD. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are the days for the parks. We leave Friday afternoon. I was only going to buy 3 day/1 park tickets.

If there will be 2 Fantasmic shows that day, you certainly can see both. We saw the first Fantasmic and then went to the Osborne Lights on our trip five years ago, the Friday after Thanksgiving.

In 2002, the last year for Osborne Lights, Fantasmic was at 6:00pm, so you should be able to see the lights after if it is the same time this year.

What exactly is the Osborne Lights? I know they are at MGM and on the residential street, but other that that I am clueless.

Since Residential Street is no more, the Osborne Lights will be displayed all along the old New York Street, which has been remodeled to represent streets from several American cities. In addition to New York, Chicago and San Francisco are also represented. You will have no problem seeing the Osborne Light display after you leave Fantasmic! The lights will be available for viewing even after the official park closing time. Just head to the back of the park after Fantasmic; trust me, you won't be alone!

My plan is to see the early showing of Fantasmic and then do the Osbourne Lights if we aren't all too tired that day.

YEAH!!!!

It looks like we'll be able to do both!!!!! I really didn't want to miss either of them, but given the choice, I would have skipped Fantasmic to see the lights. But I don't have to choose!!!
