Osborne Light Show??

We arrive from UK on 12th Nov @ 3.40pm ish.

Do you think we would be able to get to POP and then sort ourselves out then head over to see Osborne Lights to start our magical hol begin or is this unrealistic to do on 1st day. What time does the park usually shut this time of the year?

The official park closing time in 2007 was 8pm (i.e. the start time of the second showing of Fantasmic). The Osborne Lights are switched on at dusk (normally 6pm).

I don't think it's out of the question to consider it, but I'd keep your plans fluid in case you don't feel like it when the time comes.

I'm not sure that the 2008 dates have been officially announced. Having said that, the first night last year was Monday, 12th November, so it's a pretty good guess that it will be Monday, 10th this year, especially as that has been confirmed as the first night of MVMCP.

Do you land at 3.40? It might be another hour or 2 before you get to your hotel - but if you can manage it, why not?

You'll have to play it by ear. As others have said, you might be too exhausted on the first night.

The Osborne lights are spectacular. You might want to save them for when you're not feeling jetlagged.
