We went on 12/03, and tried to go back on 12/08, but since it had been raining off and on all day they made an announcement at 6pm that they would not be turning the lights on. My dad, who hadn't been able to go with us on 12/03, was extremely disappointed. He is a master electrician and thought perhaps they hadn't hired professionals to install the lights, otherwise they would have been able to turn them on. I was surprised, I know we don't have 5 millions lights in one place, but living in the midwest we haven't ever had to not turn on lights anywhere around here due to weather. 12/08 was our last night there, and if I had known there was even a chance weather would prohibit us froming showing dad those lights, we would have gone one of the other nights he was there with us. So for those of you who are going sometime in the future, if it will be raining much while you are there, you might miss the lights, so plan accordingly so you won't be disappointed.
