I think I'm callling it the right name!
My son has a Franklin device (he's had it for at least 6 months). My understanding is that it is supposed to bring the lower jaw forward and create a stronger jawline/profile. Now, my son didn't have a weak chin or anything but for some reason, the ortho is using this. Fine. Now, it seems to me that my sons lower teeth are coming too far forward and he is close to having an underbite? Is this normal??? I'm wondering if they are "overcorrecting" so that when they remove the device it will kind of shift back. I just don't know much about this. I will be calling the ortho on Tuesday because we don't have another appt. until the end of November. But is starting to concern me.
