Cub scout den (webelos II) needs to make a Christmas Tree ornamnets which will be given to a needy family. Each year the pack donates a tree to a local family who would not otherwise have one. The boys make ornaments for the family to place on the trees. The boys will have about an hour to complete the project - adults can do some prep work such as wood... Any suggestions?

Do they have to be wood? If not then I would suggest styrofoam balls, you can glue or pin just about anything on them and they always look pretty. They could be as simple as glitter balls, all different colored sequins that they could pin on, beads material or a combination.
I love making projects with kids, that reminds me I have to call to have my 4 yo..nephew over to make some holiday fun!

Anyone know of a craft website? If I were organized, Oriental Trading would be perfect. No time to order from a catalog - they need to make the ornaments next week.

This is one I have done with DD. Small flower pot (1 - 1.5 in tall-- found at Micheal's), paint (flower pot will hang upside down), use ribbon and tie a jingle bell on the end through the flower pot hole. The ribbon is used to hang on the tree.
